Which TVs work with TVRemoteX?
TVRemoteX works with selected compatible smart TVs and TV devices from Samsung, LG, Roku, Android TV, Google TV, Fire TV, Apple TV, Sony, Hisense, TCL, Philips, Panasonic, VIZIO, Sharp, Toshiba, Xiaomi and more. Support varies by model and firmware.
Do the iPhone and TV need to be on the same Wi-Fi?
Yes for normal local-network discovery and control. Guest Wi-Fi, client isolation, VPNs or router restrictions can prevent the devices from seeing each other.
Is photo and video casting the same as screen mirroring?
No. TVRemoteX can send personal photos and compatible video files through supported casting routes. It does not promise continuous live mirroring of every iPhone screen or protected streaming app.
Why are some remote buttons unavailable?
TV brands expose different commands. Power, volume, channel, text input, app launching and wake behavior can vary by TV model, firmware and current power state.
Do I need extra hardware?
No extra hardware is required for supported network TVs. Some older or unsupported TVs may not expose compatible network-control or casting features.
